Cascadia Living Building Challenge
The Living Building Challenge is a program of the Cascadia Region Green Building Council, one of three original chapters of the U.S. Green Building Council. Encouraging architects, design professionals, engineers and contractors to build in a way that provides for a sustainable future, the Living Building Challenge is comprised of six performance areas, referred to as Petals.
BrightBuilt Barn has been inspired by the Living Building Challenge and satisfies requirements for four individual Petal designations: Site, Energy, Materials, Indoor Quality, and Beauty & Inspiration. By participating in the Cascadia Living Building Challenge, BrightBuilt Barn takes green building one step further, illustrating the project’s commitment to sustainability.
