Be a Part of It

PLEASE NOTE! The first BrightBuilt Retrofit Competition has ended. Please stay tuned for more information about our first project with Community Partners and check back for information about future programs. You can also e-mail info@brightbuiltretrofit.com if you would like to talk with someone about the BrightBuilt Retrofit.

BrightBuilt Retrofit (BBR) is an open source, community based, energy conservation initiative open to non-profits that own buildings in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont. BBR seeks to have a broad educational impact through its open source, collaborative approach. We hope you will join us in our efforts to achieve an affordable and accessible deep energy retrofit and to inspire all applicants to take steps to reduce energy bills and lower their carbon footprints.

Here’s how you can be a part of it:

  1. LEARN about the project. Find out what the BrightBuilt Retrofit is all about, get answers to your questions, dig into our resources, meet the Advisors, and read the latest news.
  2. SUBMIT an application. Take action to reduce your organization’s carbon footprint by sending us a completed application no later than September 15, 2010.
  3. VOTE on the shortlisted finalists. Stay tuned for your chance to vote on your favorite non-profit! Online voting begins October 13, 2010.
  4. FOLLOW the progress. Check out the BrightBuilt blogFacebook and Twitter pages to follow all aspects of the retrofit, from non-profit selection through to project completion.
  5. CHIME IN on the discussion. Comment on our blog, call us at (207) 842-2888 or email retrofit@brightbuiltbarn.com. We encourage input at all stages of the project.

Thank you for being a part of the BrightBuilt community! We look forward to hearing from you.
